Sonia QUEIJA

Biography

Born in 1974 in Orléans, France.
A graduate of the Beaux-Arts in 2000, Sonia Queija also studied modeling in the studio of the Bolivian sculptor M. Terrazas, a former student of Ossip Zadkine in Paris. This academic training allows her to produce both original creations and commissioned reproductions of great masters such as Rodin, Pompon, and Giacometti.
As a sculptor, she develops a sensitive approach centered on the human figure. Her series — De retour, Pauses, Couples, and Travailleurs — explore gestures and postures captured in moments of reflection and stillness. Through a delicate and expressive treatment of the material, Sonia Queija captures faces and hands that reveal emotion, thought, and inner presence.
