JEFF KOONS Born in 1955 in York, Pennsylvania, Jeff Koons is without question one of the most important living artists. Since his emergence in the 1980s Jeff Koons has blended the concerns and methods of Pop and Conceptual art with popular culture to create his own unique iconography, at times controversial and always engaging. Through his art, Rubinstein pays tribute to Pop culture, portraying the biggest names from the sixties from Marilyn Monroe to Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson. He does so in his own way, by compiling two or three different images onto each other, and displaying them in a unique manner. Through a totally cerebral and abstract painting, Marie Marziac enjoys releasing her unconscious in a very personal gesture.
