Bel-Fine Art resonated with the worlds of Mariela Garibay and Hong Yi Zhuang. A gentle encounter, where the artists shared their process with simplicity. A precious, unembellished moment.
MARIELA GARIBAY
MARIELA GARIBAY (Lima, Peru – 1976) holds a degree in sculpture from PUCP and in urban design from the University of Barcelona. A multiple award-winning artist, she has completed public commissions in Peru and has been teaching sculpture for several years.
Her bronze work, both figurative and poetic, captures tenderness and the simplicity of happiness through childlike characters. For Mariela, sculpture is a language of emotion and love — a slow process that requires patience, reflection, and sensitivity.
HONG YI ZHUANG
“My art celebrates happiness, peace, and the beauty of nature. Flowers, universal symbols of joy and prosperity, play a central role in my work,” says Zhuang Hong Yi.
Born in 1962 in Sichuan, he is one of China’s most renowned contemporary artists. Blending Eastern and Western influences, his work balances tradition and modernity. His vibrant, meticulously crafted floral compositions combine emotion and precision. Exhibited worldwide, Zhuang divides his time between China and Switzerland.
