Florent
TOUCHOT
Biography
Visual artist and photographer, Florent Touchot explores the raw and living material of the city. He collects torn posters from the walls of Paris and Marseille, assembling them into expressive collages, which he then overlays onto photographic prints on plexiglass.
His technique blends collage, marouflage, photography, and acrylic paint, resulting in an aesthetic that is both urban, spontaneous, and structured.
Inspired by the perspectives of the Parisian elevated metro, train stations, the streets of New York, and French architecture, Florent creates powerful works deeply rooted in contemporary popular culture.
Reflections, transparencies, typography, and colors intersect to produce vibrant compositions filled with stories and emotion.
His work is currently exhibited in France, as well as in China, the United States, England, and Germany.
