Mark
ZWIRNER
Biography
Mark Zwirner is a Franco-American modern pop artist, known for his series of hyperrealistic paintings that reimagine iconic artists like Basquiat, Warhol, and Keith Haring in the age of social media.
Through this series, he portrays these legendary figures as if they were still alive today, posting selfies, stories, or going live on Instagram. Each canvas, designed to resemble a screenshot, questions the role of the artist in the digital age, the construction of public image, and the way social networks shape fame. Zwirner blurs the boundaries between art, influence, and nostalgia, while paying tribute to the legacy of these 20th century icons.
